My 10 favorites of 2011
Never an easy task, having to pick just ten images from among the hundreds I worked on over the course of the last 12 months. But, doing just that is a good exercise in self-discipline and self-critique, so… after a long deliberation and if I must only allow myself ten… here they are… hoping they may bring some joy to your day… with my very best wishes for the new year…

Some of them are obviously composites and some are not- it was interesting to study them to figure out which is which. I am still uncertain about Bachelor’s button- I know that changes in depth of field around those two flowers are not natural… But the final image is beautiful, nevertheless.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Iza. Four of these images are composites and the Bachelor’s button (it is actually a “Love-in-a-Mist” flower) is one of them. If a composite creation best communicates what I have in mind then that is what I develop.
Best wishes
John
