Up to his Haunches

Meanwhile up on the high slopes of Mount Hood the bears had been feasting on an abundant crop of Huckleberries, to prepare for hibernation

Hanging Loose

Enter Stage Left

The perfect, dream-like setup. Or …maybe it was an actual dream (?)
Deep in the forest, at the edge of a Lake, on a warm, mid-summer’s night. Wafting over the water a thin, transparent layer of fog adds mystery to all reflections, as a half moon highlights a semi-submerged rock –a natural “stage”.

In this… “slow motion” capture of a deadly race to the top, an English Ivy (an invasive plant) slowly coversĀ  a native evergreen, using its bark as a staircase to the sky.
Unfolding somewhere deep in a [...]

Forest Siblings

A small opening in a dreamy forest. Two young deer grazing together. Life ascending, as an offering, to the heavens.
