Terrible Tilly

View of an Oregon landmark (from ~1.5 miles away, at Ecola State park, on the mainland). Most people try not to think about this building and what it represents, but, if you don’t mind the grim reminder, you can read about it here

Tilly Sunset

Tillamook Rock Lighthouse (a.k.a. “Terrible Tilly”), seen in silhouette, about a mile and a half off the Oregon Coast, at sunset… The old lighthouse is now used as a “Columbarium” so… maybe those ‘departed’ flying shapes aren’t seagulls after all ???

The City of Cannon Beach, Oregon, at low tide and late on an overcast day…
The sunset on the Western horizon (over the ocean) was a bust, but the dark cloud blocking the sun added some drama over the city itself…
