Klickitat Twilight

The quiet hour before day's end

Klickitat Twilight, in Mount Adams; Landscape by John Christopher

The setting sun adds a touch of color to the wispy clouds over Southern Washington's Mt. Adams, a "potentially active" volcano in the Cascade range, also known to the local Native Americans as "Klickitat." The quiet flowing "Trout Lake Creek" in the foreground, swollen by the recent Spring rains offers a reflecting surface to complete the framing in this twilight scene.
