A close-up view of the exfoliating bark of a broad-leafed bush commonly known as "Paperbark Maple". Acer griseum (simplified Chinese: 血皮枫; traditional Chinese: 血皮楓; pinyin: xu p fēng) is a flowering plant in the family Sapindaceae, native to central China. This particular specimen was thriving in a Pacific Northwest garden in the Summer of 2013
